Common questions
Will my friend know I claimed their gift?
No. The owner of the list only sees “Claimed”, never who claimed it. Not on the list, not in notifications, not anywhere in the app. Only you can see that you are getting it.
How do I report or block someone?
Open their profile, tap ••• and choose Report or Block. To report a comment, wishlist or wish, tap the ••• next to it. We review every report within 24 hours. You can see and undo blocks in Settings → Blocked Accounts.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings → Delete Account and type DELETE to confirm. Your profile, wishlists, wishes, photos, comments and gift claims are deleted permanently. If you can no longer open the app, email us from the address on your account and we will delete it for you.
I forgot my password.
On the Log In screen, tap “Forgot password?” and enter your email. We will send you a link to choose a new one. Open it on your iPhone; it works once and expires after an hour.
Does Amani keep my contacts?
No. When you tap Find Contacts, the numbers are checked once against people who chose to be findable, then thrown away. Their names never leave your phone.
Is Amani free?
Yes. Making, sharing and claiming are free, and there are no ads.
Which phones does Amani work on?
Amani is on iPhone first. Android comes next.
